How it works

Our six-step model

  1. Indicator

    You invest in
    TreesOfLives

  2. Indicator

We offer the technology and expertise to support the landowner in establishing a model for the sustainable restoration and development of degraded land.

  3. Indicator

The forests grow and land produces, contributing to carbon sequestration. You benefit from carbon and biodiversity credits, and local communities gain a better quality of life.

  4. Indicator

The land and forests' raw materials are sold to buyers looking for zero-deforestation and certified sustainable products.

  5. Indicator

Profits from these sales are shared between the landowner and the investor, representing your return on investment.

  6. Indicator

We then recreate this model with other landowners and on a larger scale.

Our Integrated Sustainable Model

Our model is built on three pillars, all essential to our green economy

1. Working with landowners

Coffee

We provide landowners with the tools and support to sustainably develop and harvest their land. Our team of experts in forestry, agronomy and economics has developed management models that reflect the selected lands' development potential. Each model comprises finely-selected native species combined to restore soil quality while optimizing the interactions between different plants.

2. Forest Landscape Restoration

Carbon sequestration and credits

Did you know that a Canadian emits an average of 18.9 tons of CO2 per year, an American 18.1 tons and an European 7.9 tons? So a 35 years old Canadian has contributed an average of 665 tons to this day.

When you invest in TreesOfLives, you are helping remove significant amounts of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, a portion of which can be used to offset your emissions.

How can you do this, you ask?

Social Impacts

Children

Our integrated approach and actions contribute to attaining each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. For the communities involved in our projects, this means a more prosperous future and dignified and fair living conditions.

Impacts on biodiversity

Biodiversity

The impact of your investment is not only reflected in the number of trees planted or the number of families involved. Planned on a landscape level, our restoration and sustainable development models help improve the territory's biodiversity.

3. TreesOfLives technology

In addition to investing in impact projects, the TreesOfLives fund is linked to our field operations data through an artificial intelligence-based platform. Used by our field teams, the platform combines remote sensing data from satellite images, UAVs and sensors, allowing us to follow the projects' progress in which you invest in real-time. It provides our investors with an unparalleled level of transparency.

Peru as a Starting Point

Our team in Peru is actively preparing the groundwork to launch TreesOfLives investments in the regions of Ucayali, Huánuco, San Martin and Loreto. This phase aims to establish the foundations that will serve to replicate projects on a larger scale in the country and elsewhere.
